NJRC — Belmar
New for 2018, the Belmar swim appears to be the only swim offered of the former NJRC Triple Crown Series.
The NJRC Belmar swim (Belmar Ocean Mile Swim on Race Forum) is the third
of the New Jersey Race Club Triple Crown Series, a triad of triangular courses along North Jersey beaches.

Register on the boardwalk at 10th Avenue and Ocean Avenue.
Registration opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 7:45 AM.
Find free parking on nearby streets.
(Ocean-side of Ocean Avenue has meters).
Expect to hunt a little.
Public restrooms are nearby on the boardwalk at 8th Street and 11th Street.
Beach shower at 10th Street beach.
Leave bag on beach near start/finish behind registration.

Start at 10th Street beach, behind registration.
Running start from beach into surf.
The down-and-back course traces a triangle with one vertex at the start and two vertices about a
half mile south along a common perpendicular to the shoreline.
Large buoys mark the vertices. Swim out to the first buoy and make a right-shoulder turn.
Swim parallel to the shore about a half mile south towards the second buoy,
and make a right-shoulder turn around it.
Swim landward about fifty yards to the third buoy, and make a third right-shoulder turn.
Angle back northward to the first buoy.
Make a left-shoulder turn and head into the finish on the beach.
Finish where you started back at 10th Street beach.
Running finish from surf onto beach and into timing chute.
Finish is adjacent to registration, beach shower, and refreshments.
