Continue parallel to the shoreline for about a half mile. Keep landward of all buoys for this northbound leg. When you reach the red buoy marking the halfway point, make a hairpin turn to reverse course towards the starting beach. Be wary of oncoming swimmers as you both approach and leave this turn. Continue parallel to the shoreline as you head back towards Embury Avenue. Keep seaward of all buoys for this southbound leg until you reach the third and final buoy at Embury Avenue. Make a right-shoulder turn and head straight into shore.
